INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup smoky barbecue sauce
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2kg American style pork ribs
- Thinly sliced green onion, to serve
METHOD
- Mix the sauces, maple syrup, paprika and garlic powder in your slow cooker until combined, then add ribs. Turn the ribs using tongs until they’re generously coated in the sauce then cover the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours, or LOW for 8 hours.
- Once the slow cooker is done, preheat the grill on medium-high and line a large baking tray with foil. Transfer the ribs to the tray using tongs, then pour the remaining sauce into a small saucepan. Bring to sauce to the boil over medium-high heat then reduce the heat to low to allow to simmer for 10 minutes or until it thickens slightly. Pour half the sauce over ribs on tray then grill for 5 to 10 minutes or until sticky.
- Once done, serve with remaining sauce and enjoy!
Pro tip: You’ll need at least a 5.5L slow cooker to make this recipe. If you cut the ribs into 3 to 4 portions, it will fit into the slow cooker better.
